Las Vegas!!!

Well, this past week was Spring Break. It seemed as if Break would never come but it finally did, and it ended up being a great week! It started off just like any other weekend with a volleyball tournament on Saturday (where we did amazing). Then Monday I slept in and spent the day with my parents and packed. I also went to my old school where I saw some of my friends who I haven't seen in a long time. Later on that day, I went to practice and then spent the night over my friend Sarah's house.

The next day Sarah, Sarah's mom (Mrs. Printy) and I jumped into our "little space rocket" rental car and were on our way to Las Vegas! It was a LONG drive but we made it fun, listening and singing our hearts out to N'Sync and making a video for our friend Hayley of Sarah and me singing Hannah Montana. It was great! haha. When we finally arrived in Vegas, we checked into our room at the Monte Carlo and then went to lunch at Cafe Bellagio. It was delicious. After lunch, we looked around the Bellagio lobby which was decorated with colorful flowers for spring. We then wandered over to see the Bellagio water show. At first we weren't sure it would happen since it was so windy, but it did. After that, we walked around all the rest of the hotels and shopped. Later that night after resting for awhile, we went back to the Bellagio to see the water show at night, but couldn't because it was WAY too windy.

On Tuesday, we slept in and then went to the Palace Station for breakfast. After breakfast, we went back to our hotel and went swimming. At the Monte Carlo there are five pools. There is one regular, one jacuzzi, a waiting pool, a lazy river and (Sarah's and my favorite) a wave pool. The pools were FREEZING!!! The wind was blowing like crazy, but it was still fun. After we couldn't take it any more, we left and went to dinner at Arizona Charlies, which was a little random local casino off the strip. We had the most fun table in the whole restaurant. We were right by the kitchen and so every time a waiter or waitress walked by us they would talk to themselves. It was hilarious! And then we also had the Keno lady who walked around the whole restaurant every five minutes yelling, "KENO, KENO." It made me laugh every time. :) After dinner, we went to the Venetian and saw "Phantom." It was good. I have seen "Phantom of The Opera" on Broadway and have seen the movie many times. It wasn't as good as those other two shows. I thought it wasn't as good because I couldn't get past the mannequins who randomly showed up on stage and also the chandelier didn't fall! I thought that was weird--the chandelier has to fall! After the show, we looked around the Venetian and tried to see the water show again but it still was too windy.

Wednesday was our last day so all we did was have breakfast and then left for home. It was a really fun trip and I am so glad I got to go! :) Thank you Sarah!

Feliz Cumpleanos to me!!!

Well as many of you know my birthday was last week. We celebrated all week. It was so much fun! On my actual birthday, it was a kind of different day. When I first arrived at school, a friend had made me a cake and another made me cookies! It was a fun day! But after school, I had to go to Urgent Care and wait there for a couple hours because of my jaw. What happened to my jaw? Well the Sunday before I was in a volleyball tournament and was hit in the face by the ball. After that my jaw had still been hurting and poping so we decided to check it out just in case I had another "nose" incident. Once we finally got in, the doctor said that it wasn't broken and that the pain and poping would go away soon, and it has. :) Then my parents had to vote so we did that. When we finally got home, I opened my presents and I got a new ipod! yayayayay! Then we went to dinner at PF Changs. It was DELICIOUS!

That Friday was the next celebration. I got TOTALLY surprised by some of my friends from Calvary. We went Laser Tagging! I was told we were going to see a movie and I thought it was just going to be with a couple friends but when I got there it was totally different. I had no idea! We had sooo much fun that night playing laser tag, going to Starbucks, and taking pictures. Okay you might not think we would have done that great playing laser tag but we owned!!! Seriously! We played four or five games and won all but one. It was great :) I had so much fun that night. I love my friends they are the best!!!

The next party was Saturday. Everyone came to my grandma's house and we had a blast just hanging out and dancing. It was alot of fun! Thanks to everybody who could come.

Then for the last celebration of the week, I went to my other grandparent's house. There we played with my cousin Logan,
took pictures, and watched Blue's Clues with Logan. We also were able to see our new baby cousin Amber who is adorable!!!
It has been a great birthday!!! Thanks Everyone!

Volleyball

For this season of club volleyball, I am on the 15's Black team. So far it has been great! We had our first tournament the weekend of winter camp. Even though I had to leave camp for the day to play in the tournament, it was worth it. We won all three matches in two games! It was a good day with many aces served and great hits by everyone.

Unfortunately, our second tournament wasn't as good as the first one. We played at Fullerton College and lost all three matches. Our next tournament is February 23 and the location is tba.

Winter Camp!!!

Well this past weekend, the high school ministry went up to Pine Summit for this year's winter camp. It was soooo much fun! There was a lot of snow up there. We were freezing but made the best of it. We had snowball fights that were hilarious plus lots more. My cousin Lauren and I played an INTENSE game of Foosball and won 5 to 2!!! haha. Our cabins were crazy! It didn't even feel like camp! They were so nice. The worship was amazing too! Our speaker, Mr. McWaters, was great. He was talking about the theme of "Fuel." I have become much closer to many old friends through this weekend. And I can't wait till Hume Lake this summer!
